“This trip to Klaipėda we chose on purpose: it is very important for us to get acquainted with the railway infrastructure and passenger experience. This was the first „vacation“ trip for our colleagues who came to spend their time at the seaside both to build teamwork spirit and discuss some strategic issues in an informal way,“ – says Evelina Vasiliauskaitė, Project Manager of Lithuanian Railways.

„I see Workation Klaipėda as an opportunity for new contacts. Of course the idea of nature, sea, summer was just fascinated. Workation in Klaipėda has really proved its worth –  I finished my job at 17:00 and then, in the evenings I could “explore” and get to know the city,”- says Gabrielė Kraujelytė, Production Manager at SAYDUCK.

“I think Workation Klaipėda’19 campaign is a really good way to attract more professionals to Klaipeda, as well as young talents to the port city, showing that the seaside is not only for vacation but also for different activities, fresh experiences, new contacts, “ – said Mantas Daugintis, a web developer, who chose free premises in the hub of Klaipėda science and technology park for his summer workation.

„This summer we extended our team workation from a couple days to a full week and chose The Light House co-working space in Klaipeda for that. We are amazed how much we managed to comfortably fit in one week: the daily work projects, several creative team sessions, a paddleboard class, more than 100 km on bicycles, a walking tour around the city with a great guide, night canoe experience, numerous gastronomic experiences and loads of great memories. „

Versli Lietuva communication department team came to Klaipėda with positivity, lightness and creative solutions. “One of the most exciting adventures during the workation was sleeping pods. Each of us had a chance to check our claustrophobia levels while sleeping in a capsule. In the end, we all agreed that it is possible to have good quality sleep in the pods as well.” Versli Lietuva gave a piece of advice for other workation participants: „Make the most of this inspirational environment – starting from the desks and meeting rooms to the inspirational events hosted by Light House team. And don’t forget to visit the sea!“

A finance consultant Simas Baranauskas came to Klaipeda after a 10-year break and found it to be a great place to escape from a daily routine in any weather. In Simas words: „If you choose to come to Klaipeda, stay here for longer than just a couple days. First, the change takes you out of the comfort zone and the feeling is rather strange. Yet, when you stay longer, you start finding new things about yourself. I was doing my usual tasks here in Klaipeda, but I felt like I have changed my job. Everything was different. We ended up breaking our sales record during the workation. I cannot claim that the record was a direct result of the workation but changing the environment did really have an impact. I went to the beach every second day and quickly learned that the sea is great not just on a sunny day – the wind and rain bring amazing waves. “
